Or…does anyone know the rest of this song?I think I learned it in girl scouts. The tune is to The Battle Hyme of the Republic. Oh…I wear my pink pajamas in the summer when it’s hot and I wear my pink pajamas in the winter when its not And sometimes in the spring time and sometimes in the fall…I jump right in between my sheets with nothing on at all. I thought there might be a chorus. Thanks!!

Does anyone else know this?My dad taught it to me in about 1978.I was so proud to have rememberered ALL the words!Ive never known anyone else who knew it! anyone ever heard it? Shoes and socks and stogies… When I was a bum. Sleepin’ in a boxcar…drinkin’all the rum. One mornin’ I woke up … I did not wish to steal… I went to Mrs.(make up a name)and asked her for a meal. She looked at me…I looked at her. She thought I was a thief. She brought me in and sat me down…but darned if I could eat. The roaches on the table, the pig behind the door…and (make up a name)’s face in noodlesoup but darned if that was all! Next mornin’ I woke up…I looked upon the wall-the bed bugs and the roaches were havin’ a game of ball. The score was 19 – 20 the roaches were ahead…a bedbug hit a homer and knocked me outta bed! Automatic butter Systamatic cheese Coney Island Bacon and Double Jointed Peas!!

I do remember jellies plastic sandals. They were great and a few of us would swap at school so we could get to wear different colors. When are they coming back? Boys used to wear them too, but don’t seem to now.

there’s a place in France where the naked ladys dance, there’s a hole in the wall, where you can see them all.

well this is *odd* – I grew up in western NY – Buffalo and Clarence – the two counties bordering Amherst and played seven up all the time, the *russian version* throwing the ball against the wall for seven times, the next six it had to bounce, after that I am fuzzy – well you know what I mean, but remember spinning around to catch it and the under the leg. Maybe it is regional! Now that I am “way old” I am looking for hand clapping games for my *offsprung* and wouldn’t it be delightful to find regional ones!
