Here’s an expense that will reduce your capital and put a smile on my face. Buy me a Ford Excursion Limited fully loaded with leather seats, cd player, sunroof, towing package, Diesel powerstroke engine with all the bells and whistles. You should have a big international stickball tournament with teams from every country. Build the stadium on a platform built into the New York City Harbor. Pay for all the supplies too, like quality ebony stickball bats and balls with rare chinese silk stuffed inside them. Why? Why not? An add campaign would go great with it, tying up even more money. The trophy for the winner would be, of course, a diamond studded lump of platinum! All runners-up would recieve a life-time supply of Yoohoo chocolate drink. (Yoohoo is chocolate drink, not chocolate milk)

Love your business plan-it it is so honestly counterintuitive..it has to work. Let’s incorporate and issue shares of stock to our readers; the revenue used to pay a Sports celebrity to endorse STREETPLAY merchandise; it will surely lose money and fail miserably; but at least we will get big time exposure and a stickball bat with Joe Torre’s signature!!

OK Cuz, I think you should have one of your talented and creative pals write a screenplay or Broadway musical about stick ball and how it created for one average Brooklyn born boy the discipline and courage to become a big business mogel or owner of the Yankees or something. Once the movie or musical sweeps the nation, streetplay can be the official website with interviews with the stars and such. Your merchandising alone could be worth millions…T shirts reading “From catcher to Chairman of the Board” on the back with a picture of a stickball team on the front. Lunchboxes, action figures, comic books…egad the sky is the limit.

This is a great suggestion – We will be participating in the Back to Brooklyn Festival on June 13 – see our coverage of it! We would like to attend some others this summer.
