My Candy stores were: Oscar’s On Kings Highway right off Ocean Parkway. Even into the 70s, they used to jerk the soda, and serve it in a little paper cup with plastiuc holder. They also always had one pinball game. Near PS 215, we went to Nats. It was right on the corner of east 3rd Street and Kings Highway. Great Lunch Special. There was Nat, a heavy chef guy, and some women that did the register. Anyone else from Kings Highway?

Hi everyone. I’m Steve’s cousin, Sharon. Every now and then I visit the site and read all the wonderful thoughts about my cuz. Just reading all the stories brings him back, if only in my mind. I miss him very much and think of him all the time. It’s a great comfort to read your stories and see the impact Steve had on everyone.

Streetplay Discussion Archive Posted on August 9, 2005 by Streetplay DiscussionsAugust 9, 2005

Slumber parties were THE thing to do and all girls should experience them. I always got to buy new baby doll pjs whenever there was a new sleepover. We were not real mean but we had fun. We would put underwear in the freezer, Truth or Dare, talk all night, play records, eat junk food, take pictures (whatever happened to all those pictures?)Hope to have one again before the big sleep.

Streetplay Discussion Archive Posted on August 4, 2005 by Streetplay DiscussionsAugust 4, 2005

Have any of you heard of a marbles game called Tennessee Nine? My father and his brothers, cousins and nephews still play this. His father and grandfather also played. I was wondering if it is documented anywhere, a rule book etc.
