Hello from Ireland, …
Hello from Ireland,
This may not be the most used part of the site but I will start anyway. I am trying to remember the rules for a game that kept me occupied for hours and would like to pass it on to my children.
In Dublin we called it Snap the rasher. The gist of it was two teams facing each other across a road. In the middle (it was a quiet road) was the “rasher”, an object, one or other of the teams called a player from the other team . The two players ran out to the middle as fast as could be. The object was to “snap” the rasher and get back to your own side without being tagged by the other person. I have no idea how scoring, if any, was kept or how you decided who did the calling or who they called.
Any help or thoughts on similar games in the US would be greatly appreciated.
Stephen
