What’s the coolest picture you ever printed on your silly putty? I once found a picture of a plymouth Prowler, and printed it onto the silly putty… Hehe- a Stretch prowler!

Hey! Anyone else used to have those ugly rollerskates, usually with racing stripes, with HUGE orange wheels? I had blue ones with ORANGE stripes! I think they were hand-me-downs from my sister (I had them in the mid 80s-early 90s, until I finally got Rollerblades). I learned to rollerskate when I was about 6 or 7. They were big and heavy, and pretty clumsy, but a lot of fun to use. Mine got pretty worn out, I remember once, I was skating with a friend and suddenly, the axel and front wheels fell off my skate!! I got rollerblades pretty soon after that… The first time I went to the hospital (er) was because of those skates… I was rollerskating, and the ground got suddenly bumpy/gravelly, and I fell down and hurt my arm. It hurt a LOT and I couldn’t move it. I sat there yelling HELP for about 3 minutes until finally someone stopped… My parents drove me to the er. The whole time I was holding my arm strait, I couldn’t bend it at all. They x-rayed it, then a doctor came in, said it was just a bad sprain and forced my arm to bend! That HURRRRT. I guess it was so he could put a sling over it, but sheesh! The worst part, though, was when I went to school and these mean girls kept saying that I was lying and my arm wasn’t really hurt. Too bad it was my non-writing arm, though, so I could still do my school work, hehe… (Isn’t it always the wrong one? 🙂

When I was about 11-13, I had a young neighbor who I used to ride on my bike. He’d ride in front (I’m still amazed that we both fit on the tiny little seat) and put his feet up on the bar. I still have the bike, and it has ‘scars’ from where he put his feet, hehe… It was soo funny, he was about 4-6 yeard old, and when we got on the bike, he’d say “yeah, bebbay! I’m on my motorcycle!” and “Let’s rock n roll!” before we’d start riding. I took him to the park and stuff a lot, because I always babysat him. I have to say, it was a LOT quicker riding the bike than trying to get him to keep up on his own bike with training wheels.

Hey, anyone every try to play “chicken” on your bikes? I did, with a friend of mine… We chose our block, a long block, then an intersecting street, then another long block. She went down to one end of one long block, I went down to the opposite end of the second long block. We planned to ride as fast as we could toward each other and ‘meet’ at the intersecting street. Well, no one chickened out. We met right in the center of the intersecting street. Probably luckily for us, our bikes were not exactly head-on, so the front tires came alongside each other, our pedals got caught in the other person’s pedals/wheels, and all of us (people and bikes) fell down. I was unhurt, my friend got her ankle scraped by my pedal. The bikes were perfectly fine… I loved bike riding, we’d ride everywhere and anywhere. I only had one bad accident. It was right before my 8th grade graduation. I was riding and I turned my head to see if a friend of mine was home, swerved, and ran into a short (about 1 ft. tall) wall by the alley I was coming up to. I fell off the bike, the bike fell on top of my head. To make a longish story short, I had 3 stitches in my scalp. Ouch.

I grew up in the 80s/early 90s, so the scooters I remember are probably different… I still have mine. It’s blue, with a wide standing area, and wheels like tiny bike wheels. I looove that scooter!

My best bike memory was when I hit my neighbors mail box. I always used my bike with shoes to stop, but this day I had no shoes on was also without a shirt. I come flying down the street, turn into the driveway when I see something is in the way, so I move only to hit the mail box knocking me down to the ground. I wake up with the neighbors hovering over me and my bike half way down the street. In the end I was lefted with a HUGE scare on my chest, one on my face, and serval on my back from gravel.

On my block I was a pogo Miester. No one could pogo as long as I could….It helped as a smaller child to cut my bouncing teeth on a hippity hop…remember those round thick rubber balls that had a handle on it?

I’m also currently working on a design for a better stunt pogo. As far as I know, I’m the only one in the world that is still does anything besided jump up and down on these things. Send imput if you’d like to thegreatgoon [at] hotmail [dot] com or visit my stunt pogo homepage I’m building at http://www.redrival.com/pogo
