In York PA this coming Saturday Sept.22-01 we are having a fundraiser/stickball event. We are having other games too, such as boxball, jacks, jumprope, yo-yos, and of course Marbles. Spalding hopefully is donating the pink balls-either way they are the best, so come out and join us for a great time-food-knishes while they last, root beer floats, old fashioned candy-hoola hoop etc. This event is held at an old shopping center Called Ames on East Market street across from another shopping center, which has Lowes and Giants in it. “Gotta” tell “ya”..this is the very best site, EVER…. After 30 years I ‘found’ my best friends on the Internet…Bobby Stone, Jerry Hertz (introduced me to Dylan and guitar playing) Irene Mossberg (who I grew up with, on Alabama Ave. in Brooklyn, and who I went with, as kids to Coney Island and Prospect Park and Botanic Gardens) and last but not least, IRA MOSCOWITZ who I danced with and made-out with so both of us would know what to do when we started dating others, for real!

Sure I remember this… we, in Brooklyn, called it “Boys, Girls… The categories were (and we used a heel from a shoe, that we got at the shoemaker’s shop) Boys (names) Girls (names) colors, cars, actresses, actors, dogs, numbers… It was a New York game and all the girls played it.
