I played “skelly” frequently in Brighton Beach at 2nd Street park in the sixties. I’ve started teaching my skelly to my 7 year old here in West Los Angeles and hope to begin reviving the “sport” by having him teach his classmates in 2nd grade. He loves melting candles into the bottlecaps. I just remebered that we used to scrape the bottlecaps on the concrete to smooth them out and make them go faster.
