I grew up on E40th between Farragut and Glenwood and so did my dad and all his brothers..we went to PS 198 but they went off to St Vincents..we all went to the park for the sprinklers and to smash bottles in the big playing field and to watch the serious athletes on the basketball courts. He remembers the pool before Pathmark – I only remember the store, but he claims it cost a dime to get in and his parents couldn’t afford it!
