When I was in college in the 70s, I convinced my father to give me money for the 5 1/2 inch green snakeskin platform shoes I fell in love with. My bargaining ploy was the fact that the shoes were the last pair and they were on sale – only $50, reduced from $75! some bargain, huh?!? But I loved those shoes!
