Does anyone remember metal roller skates?
Lobster claw-like clamps held the toe of your shoe or sneaker, and those clamps had to be tightened with a large metal key. Us girls wore the key around our neck.

A friend and I used to roller skate around our neighborhood and local parks. The friend had an older brother, who took pleasure in taunting us and trying to trip us, by sticking his out his foot, just as we were gliding by. ;(
