I remember playing SPUD. We also played Ghost in the Graveyard, which was a cross between Run sheep run and Sardines. Red Rover was one of my favorites. Mostly because I was one of the smaller kids playing, and I could duck and dodge under and around the bigger kids. To get to the other side of the lawn or field where we played. There would be two teams, one team would link arms and shout “Red rover, red rover come over.” At which point the other team would try to run through their links hands and get to the safety at the other end of the lawn or field.
