My first kiss as I would…
My first kiss as I would define it today was over a checker game, a bottle of Chateau La Salle (the fanciest cheap wine you could by for $2.50) and Neil Young singing his After the Gold Rush album in the background. The house was warm and cozy, it was quiet, we had our Jack in the Box Tacos ready for nibbling, and the kiss just came. It was the perfect kiss, the perfect moment and the perfect memory.

I remember as a youngster…
I remember as a youngster in grade shcool, we would go to someones party and they would play Spin the Bottle. Everyone sat in a circle, then one person would spin the bottle and whoever it turned to would get a hug or a kiss on the cheek. Some times it was a little embarresing, as there were both boys and girls there, and I was very shy wnd turned red as a beet when the bottle turned to me. I sat holding my breath, hoping it would point to someone else. Ah, what memories!

My first real kiss came…
My first real kiss came when I dated at age 18 Marsha Goldman. The first time I saw her I was mystified. It was a dark night. She was standing outside her Crown Heights apartment building. Her blond hair shone against the dark sky.She was a sight to behold.Several months later we officially met and started dating. She was a wonderful girl.I just failed to realize how wonderful she was.We had a silly arguement and both of us were too proud to say I’m sorry.I’ve regretted that mistake all my life.

One special memory is very vivid when I was a youngster. Coming from the lower east side of Manhattan, we weren’t anywhere close to any beach or swimming pools. We were too young to travel to the beach by ourselves. So, on really hot evenings, the older men in the neighborhood would turn on the fire hydrants and sometimes put a hollowed out garbage can over it, so the water would spray up. And we would all take turns running under the rushing water. Many times, we slipped and hurt ourselves, but it was all worth it JUST to get wet on a hot sticky summer night in New York.

Come on girls and boys…men and women…I know each of you who visit here, have a story to share with us. We would love to hear it. Names can be eliminated if you think that ‘someone’ will recognize your story about your ‘first kiss’. I know that there is at least one more story that needs to be told.

A major snow storm in 1960 shut the schools and gave us enough snow and time to build a series of igloo-like structures with connecting tunnels all along our Brooklyn street. We were a bunch of happy and wet, young “Eskimos.” It also gave us the best opportunities to go down the ever-terrifying COMMANDO HILL on our shiny sleds, in cardboard boxes and on our tushies.
