Does anyone remember “Chinese Jumprope” 3RD grade version back in the 80’s? We used long elastics like 5ft connected around two other persons ankles, and jumped into a large circle and then we did some kind of stepping in and out and jumping over . Does this sound familiar to anyone????

I remember my mom used to play it differently from myself.. She was born and raised in Korea. I remember the [Not] Last…
I remember the [Not] Last Night And the Night Before” rhyme being performed as a jump rope rhyme{from Atlantic City, New Jersey, 1950s}.. Today I hunted in stores…
Today I hunted in stores for Double Dutch jump ropes in hopes of giving them to my two granddaughters and teaching them about Double Dutch and my fond memories of jumping when I was a little kid in Seattle, WA. Finally found 16″ robes sold individually at a toy store for about $12 each. Also looked for a book or pamphlet on “how to” Double Dutch jump rope but could not find anything. I need some visuals to help me explain how it goes to them. They are both seven years old. Can anyone out there tell me where I can find such a book? A kid’s instruction video would be great also. Thanks.

we used to play chinese…
we used to play chinese jumprope way differnt in philly in the early 60’s. we would do a “hop” using one leg at a time to get to ten on each leg, it’s in ,out, over, back motion. if you passed both legs then you would move to the middle and swing from there. then you double the motin for each leg. if you were good enogh, you got to diamonds.
